February Nonprofit of the Month: Silicon Valley De-Bug

May 10, 2016

This month, we’re very excited to work with Silicon Valley De-Bug! SV De-Bug is a media, community organizing, and entrepreneurial collective based out of San Jose, California. Begun in the spring of 2001, SV De-Bug has grown into a nationally recognized organization, as well as a trusted local source for communities in the South Bay. Currently, the organization is has three main focus areas:

– De-Bug Media produces an award-winning, bilingual magazine (English/Spanish), and provides communication support for organizations and communities across the country.

– De-Bug Organizing has initiated and continues to lead successful social justice campaigns to advocate for youth, workers, immigrants, and those impacted by the criminal justice system. The organization was also able to launch the Albert Cobarrubias Justice Project, a program giving families the ability to have an impact on their local criminal justice system.

– De-Bug Entrepreneurial incubates small businesses developed and lead by De-Bug members. After Dark Prints is a design and printing company that serves the graphic design needs of many small businesses and community organizations. The Darkroom, the only community darkroom in the region, supports the professional growth of film photographers. Other entrepreneurial ventures that have grown out of De-Bug Entrepreneurial include a design, television show, and catering show.

For the entire month of February, 10% of Never Elsewhere web sales will benefit Silicon Valley De-Bug and help them continue their work in San Jose. Show your support!
